Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for visitors and practitioners: how The Wellness Registry works, how practitioners are screened, what it costs to list, and how AI search tools see the site.
For visitors
What happens when I answer the questions?
You'll answer a short set of questions about what you're looking for — things like your goals, what you've tried before, and what kind of support feels right. Based on your answers, the Registry suggests the approaches most likely to be a good fit. You can then browse practitioners within those modalities and request an introduction directly.
What modalities are available?
The registry covers 66+ approaches across body-based work, nervous system and trauma-informed therapies, functional and integrative health, energy work, and coaching. Browse all approaches.
Is it free to use as a visitor?
Yes. Browsing modalities, reading practitioner profiles, and requesting introductions are all free for visitors.
How are practitioners included?
Practitioners apply or are invited. Each profile is reviewed for training, scope clarity, and communication standards before being listed. See the full inclusion standards.
Is this a medical service?
No. The Registry introduces people to independent practitioners. It does not provide medical advice or treatment.
How do I contact a practitioner?
You can request an introduction directly from their profile. They will contact you privately.
Are practitioners ranked or reviewed?
No. Practitioners are presented equally. There are no ratings, no paid placements, and no public reviews — the focus is on clarity so visitors can decide for themselves.
For practitioners
How much does it cost to list my practice?
First 90 days free. After that, $19/month or $190/year, locked in for as long as you stay subscribed if you join before Dec 31, 2026. New members who join after Dec 31, 2026 pay the standard rate of $29/month or $290/year. See full pricing details.
What's included in the free trial?
A card is required to start, but nothing is charged for the first 90 days. Your profile is fully live and listed during the trial. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends and pay nothing.
What does the practitioner interview involve?
The interview is a structured set of questions across four areas: your practice, your background, your profile, and your listing details. It's designed to be completed in one sitting — most practitioners finish in 15-20 minutes. Your answers form your public profile exactly as written, so there's no editing or reformatting after the fact. See every question that's asked.
How are practitioners screened before being listed?
Every application is reviewed for recognized training or certification, active client experience, a clearly defined scope, and the absence of medical cure claims. Not every applicant is accepted. Read the full screening standards.
Will my profile show up in AI search tools like ChatGPT or Perplexity?
Every practitioner profile includes structured schema markup describing your modality and practice, and the site's crawler permissions explicitly allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and other AI crawlers to read every profile and modality page. That gives your listing a real chance of being read and cited by AI answer engines, though the specificity of your own bio and profile answers still matters most. Read how AI search finds practitioners.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your practitioner dashboard. If you resubscribe later during the standard-pricing period, the founding member rate does not come back.
