What happens when I answer the questions?
You'll answer a short set of questions about what you're looking for, things like your goals, what you've tried before, and what kind of support feels right. Based on your answers, the Registry suggests the approaches most likely to be a good fit. You can then browse practitioners within those modalities and request an introduction directly.
What modalities are available?
The registry covers 120+ approaches across talk therapy, body-based work, nervous system and trauma-informed therapies, functional and integrative health, energy work, and coaching. Browse all approaches.
Are all practitioners licensed?
No, and that is by design. The Registry lists practitioners across regulated clinical care, complementary wellness work, and coaching. Every profile states the practitioner's training and where their scope ends, so you can see what kind of care you would be reaching out for. If you are specifically seeking licensed clinical care or medical treatment, look for that in the practitioner's stated credentials, or consult a licensed healthcare provider directly.
Is it free to use as a visitor?
Yes. Browsing modalities, reading practitioner profiles, and requesting introductions are all free for visitors.
How are practitioners reviewed before being listed?
Every application is reviewed for recognized training or certification, active client experience, a clearly defined scope of practice, and responsible public-facing claims. A Registry review is an editorial check for clarity and honest representation. It is not independent verification of every credential or license against a public board, and it is not a guarantee of quality or outcomes. Not every applicant is accepted. Does the Registry guarantee quality or outcomes?
No. A listing means the profile met our review standards for training clarity, scope, and claims. It is not an endorsement or a promise of results. Deciding whether a practitioner is right for you, including checking their credentials and asking about their experience, is still your own due diligence.
How are results ordered?
Suggested approaches are ordered by how closely they match the themes you described. On a modality page, practitioners are listed alphabetically by name, or, if you shared a zip code, in-person practitioners are ordered by distance from you. Payment, membership, referrals, and advertising never affect placement, there is nothing a practitioner can buy to rank higher.
What should I do in a crisis or emergency?
The Wellness Registry is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the US, you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.
Is this a medical service?
No. The Registry introduces people to independent practitioners. It does not provide medical advice or treatment.
How do I contact a practitioner?
You can request an introduction directly from their profile. They will contact you privately.
Are practitioners ranked or reviewed?
No. Practitioners are presented equally. There are no ratings, no paid placements, and no public reviews, the focus is on clarity so visitors can decide for themselves.
How do I report a concern about a listing?
If a listing has an inaccurate credential, a misleading claim, an expired license, or anything else that looks wrong, tell us through the contact form and we will review it.
For practitioners
How much does it cost to list my practice?
If you submit your profile on or before December 31, 2026, your first year is free once it's approved. After that it's $12 a month or $120 a year, and that rate never goes up for as long as you stay listed. Practitioners who first submit after December 31 pay the same rate, with a 90-day free trial instead of a year. See full pricing details.
What's included in the free trial?
Everything. Your profile is fully live during your free period, which is a full year if you submit by December 31, 2026, or 90 days after that. Once you're approved, you add a card to activate your listing, but nothing is charged until the free period ends, and if you cancel before then you won't pay anything.
Will this bring me clients?
We'd rather be honest than make promises. The Registry is new and still growing, so we can't tell you how many introductions to expect. What we can say is that your profile will be clear, carefully reviewed, and built to be found by people and by AI search tools, and since your first year is free, you can see how it goes before deciding whether it's worth keeping.
What does the practitioner interview involve?
It's a structured set of questions about your practice, your background, who you work with, and the practical details of your listing. If you have a website, you can paste in its address and we'll draft answers to many of the questions from it, so you're mostly reviewing and adjusting rather than starting from a blank page. Most practitioners finish in about 20 to 30 minutes, and you can save your progress and come back anytime. See every question that's asked.
Is my profile written by AI?
Your profile is written from your own interview answers. AI helps organize what you've shared into the Registry's consistent format, a person reviews it before it's published, and you can ask for changes or update your details anytime after it's live.
How are practitioners screened before being listed?
Every application is reviewed for recognized training or certification, active client experience, a clearly defined scope, and the absence of medical cure claims. Not every applicant is accepted. Read the full screening standards.
Will my profile show up in AI search tools like ChatGPT or Perplexity?
Every practitioner profile includes structured schema markup describing your modality and practice, and the site's crawler permissions explicitly allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and other AI crawlers to read every profile and modality page. That gives your listing a real chance of being read and cited by AI answer engines, though the specificity of your own bio and profile answers still matters most. Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your practitioner dashboard. Your listing stays live until the end of the period you've already covered, and if you decide to come back later, you'd pay the same $12 a month or $120 a year.
