Cupping
A technique using suction cups on the skin to relieve muscle tension and improve circulation.
Cupping uses cups, placed on the skin and creating suction, either left stationary or moved across the muscle (sliding cupping), to relieve tension and encourage blood flow to the area. It's often practiced alongside acupuncture or massage, though standalone cupping sessions are also available. It's known for leaving temporary circular marks on the skin, which fade over several days to a couple of weeks and are a normal, expected part of the technique, not a sign of injury.
Suction-based bodywork to release muscle tension and support circulation.
What to expect: Sessions typically run 20–45 minutes, sometimes as part of a longer acupuncture or massage appointment. The cups are placed and left for several minutes, or moved slowly across the skin. You'll likely see circular marks afterward, these are normal and fade within days to about two weeks. Let your practitioner know if the suction feels too intense at any point.
