A practice combining movement, breath, and energy-based frameworks.
Medical Qi Gong is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that uses specific movements, postures, breath, and intention to cultivate and regulate qi (life energy). As a medical application, it may be delivered by a practitioner who guides treatments or as a self-practice taught to individuals. It has historical depth and a structured system of theory underpinning it.
Movement, breath, and energy cultivation drawn from traditional Chinese medicine.
What to expect: Sessions vary. Individual treatments involve the practitioner working with specific movements or hand placements. Teaching sessions involve learning specific practices you can use independently. Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. 3–5 treatment sessions gives you a reasonable sample of how this approach affects you. For self-practice, regular daily practice over 4–8 weeks is typically needed to notice cumulative benefit. Check in with your practitioner about what you are experiencing.
