Thai Bodywork
A hands-on, movement-oriented approach combining pressure and assisted stretching.
Thai bodywork is a traditional hands-on approach that combines rhythmic compression along energy lines with assisted stretching and movement. It is typically done fully clothed on a floor mat. The practitioner uses their hands, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet to work through the body. It is both more active and more movement-oriented than most table-based massage.
Floor-based bodywork combining rhythmic pressure and assisted movement.
What to expect: Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes, done on a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed in comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. The practitioner moves through the body systematically, using compression and guided stretches. The experience can feel both intense and deeply relaxing. Communication about pressure and comfort is normal and expected. 3–5 sessions is a reasonable starting point. Tell your practitioner after a couple of sessions what feels different and what doesn't — they can adjust their focus, and you'll have a clearer sense of whether this approach suits you.
